If there’s one thing us Brits love, it’s an excuse for a garden party, and the King’s Coronation at the beginning of May is the perfect time to invite friends round and put on your best outfits.

When King Charles III is finally being crowned on Saturday May 6th, many people will be tucking into cream scones and cucumber sandwiches, celebrating the historical event with loved ones.

This means if you love dressing your kids up in their best outfits, you need to start thinking about what girls’ boutique dresses to get for your little princesses.

Many little girls will love pretending to be royal themselves with their own Disney-inspired gowns, whether they choose food-length tutu dresses or taffeta bridesmaid outfits. There is a huge range to choose from, depending on the type of party and their own style.

So, if you really want to lean into the regal theme, you could buy a gorgeous Cinderella-inspired frock, or you could opt for the very traditional Marie dress that looks like it could have been worn by a flower girl at a royal wedding.

Boys shouldn’t be left out of the momentous occasion, however, as you could find them a tail suit to match the look of princes from previous royal events, or you will be able to find plenty of Coronation-themed T-shirts they could wear with smart trousers, jacket and shoes.

Don’t forget to get accessories for your little ones, from Union Jack bows and headbands to badges and belts.
