Picking out dresses for little girls can be a bit of a minefield - there’s so much choice out there that it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if your daughter doesn’t quite know what she likes! But with spring now underway, there’s one colour that you might want to make sure you have in the wardrobe… and that’s yellow!
This is apparently a top trend for spring this year where kids’ clothes are concerned, with children’s fashion stylist Daniela Hernandez telling Inspired Traveller that it is indeed “one of the star colours” you can expect to see this season.
She went on to say that fruit prints are also going to continue being big news over the coming months, which could be good food for thought as well, while pastel colours, lemon, peach and pineapple prints are also proving very popular.
Pink, of course, is one of the “favourite colours of girls, as it highlights their tender style, chic and delicate,” Ms Hernandez continued.
However, you may not want to go down the tried-and-tested route of pink for girls and blue for boys, and it’s certainly important to remember to ask your children what sort of colours they’re particularly drawn to.
Gender neutral clothing has become very popular over the last few years, so it would perhaps be wise to make sure you give your children a choice over what they’d like to wear.
Last year, consultant at Euromonitor International Ayako Homma explained that growing numbers of childrenswear brands are now targeting millennial parents, which means that genderless clothing ranges are now really coming to the fore - so there will be even more options for kids to choose from, in lots of different styles and colours.
